Using sublimation transfer paper on mugs is a straightforward process to create vibrant, durable custom designs. First, print your desired design onto the sublimation transfer paper using a sublimation printer and ink—ensure the design is mirrored to avoid reverse results on the mug.
Next, clean the mug thoroughly to remove dust or oil, then wrap the printed paper tightly around the mug, securing it with heat-resistant tape. Preheat your mug press to 380–400°F (193–204°C) and place the wrapped mug inside, applying even pressure for 100–120 seconds.
Once done, carefully remove the mug and let it cool completely before peeling off the transfer paper. The result is a seamless, fade-resistant design fused with the mug’s coating, perfect for personalized gifts or promotional items. Always use sublimation-compatible mugs for optimal adhesion.
